Second & Second

Second + Second is a 158-unit community rooted in the architecture and energy of Minneapolis’ North Loop.

Roundhouse acquired Second + Second in 2025, building on its investment in Minneapolis with a design-forward asset in one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Built in 2020, the six-story community sits just west of the Mississippi River with walkable access to the North Loop’s restaurants, retail, employers, and entertainment. The building pairs modern architecture with interiors and shared spaces that place a strong emphasis on design. A Sky Lounge and rooftop deck overlook downtown Minneapolis, while coworking spaces, a fitness center, hotel-style lobby, and Four Seasons Plaza create a range of places to work, gather, and recharge. At street level, approximately 20,000 square feet of retail space, including West Elm and other neighborhood-serving businesses, activates the building and strengthens its relationship with the surrounding North Loop. Second + Second has been recognized with an AIA Minnesota Honor Award for Design Excellence and as a Finance & Commerce Top Project, reinforcing the architectural quality that distinguishes the asset within the North Loop.
