I'm drawn to how things work — and why they work well. Whether it's a schedule, an estimate, or a project in my garage, I enjoy studying the sequence, finding the small adjustment, and getting it running a little smoother.

Vice President, Construction & Development

Sam oversees Roundhouse's active construction projects from preconstruction through turnover and hand-off to the property management team as Vice President of Construction & Development. His expertise spans procurement strategy, subcontractor management, entitlements, cost control, scheduling, and construction execution across complex ground-up multifamily developments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management from Purdue University, then worked for a large general contractor in San Diego across healthcare, life science, higher education, and corporate office projects before relocating to Boise in 2017. Prior to joining Roundhouse in 2021, he worked as a Regional Manager for a Seattle-based contractor, overseeing and expanding their hospitality-related work across Washington and Montana.

Construction can be a tough business — hundreds of moving parts, and success depends on dozens of independent companies coming together in sync. As we stand up Roundhouse's construction vertical, I think a lot about how to build a smoother process for our team and the subcontractors we rely on. When the experience is better, so is the work.
