Lauren Thomsen

I'm an optimist, I genuinely believe every day is a clean slate with new opportunities in it. I play "Pocketful of Sunshine" every morning; it's a small thing, but it gets me excited for the day ahead.

Property Accountant

Lauren supports the Controller across accounting and office administration as a Property Accountant, handling account setup, systems management, investor distributions, booking company transactions, and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts. She holds a BA in Accounting with a specialization in Finance from The College of Idaho, along with minors in Professional Foundations, Art and Design, and Health Promotion, and is currently working toward her CPA license. She also assists property management and asset management teams to keep reporting accurate through the company's month-end cycle.

I'm drawn to the teaching side of this work, taking something technical or intimidating and breaking it down until it clicks for someone. I try to learn something new every day, and staying curious is what keeps me excited.
