I think in patterns and I'm drawn to future states. I usually have an idea of what something could become before I can explain why, and I'm most drawn to work that closes the gap. I'd rather build the thing myself, the tool, the process, the place, because that's how I come to understand it.

Garrett leads the full lifecycle of Roundhouse's investments as Vice President of Investments, covering acquisitions, development, asset management, and disposition, and has helped grow the portfolio by roughly 75 percent since joining the firm. He previously worked on the Acquisitions team at Unico Properties in Seattle, closing over $700 million in transactions across the western and southeastern US, and started his career as an equity trader at Russell Investments. He holds a BA with honors from Seattle Pacific University.

I'm focused on leaning into what differentiates Roundhouse as an investor, developer, and operator. We control more of the process than most firms, from the first underwriting model to the last unit leased, and I spend a lot of time thinking about how to sharpen that advantage. Just as interesting to me is how we tell that story to our partners.
